The Areopagus Institute of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice (AIFT) is committed to promote and sustain a holistic view of the human being through support, empathy and healthy compassionate human relationships. Respect and social responsibility, excellence and moral integrity are the core values that are inspiring us in our work.
The Institute provides counseling, individual, family and couple therapy, education and training in systemic family therapy, community projects and clinical research in direct collaboration with national and international institutions.
AIFT is part of the Areopagus Regional Center for Social Integration and Human Development (CRISDU) from Timisoara. The institute is a member of the International Family Therapy Association and is accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists and the Romanian Federation of Psychotherapy to offer training programs in systemic family psychotherapy.
Through our activities and clinical services, we aim to create a secure context in which individuals, families and couples can experience an empathic and professional therapeutic relationship that will enable them to explore their emotional and relational difficulties. It is our hope that through this authentic encounter, people will be able to find healing and develop healthy relationships which in turn may lead to the well-being of each person and society as well.
