Ileana Rogobete, PhD (University of Cape Town) is a founding member and Director
of the Professional Commission of the Institute of Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.
She is a member of the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA) and the International
Family Therapy Association (IFTA). She obtained the license of free practice in family
psychotherapy granted by the Romanian College of Psychologists as a family therapist,
trainer and supervisor.
Her professional interests include systemic approaches to trauma under repressive regimes, narrative reconstructions of meaning after trauma, family and couple psychotherapy, the process of reconciliation and the role of culture, values and beliefs in meaning-making processes.
